Facing the end of my way, I understand that he assists to me neither any heroic virtue, nor even good act, in all his meaning, to gain me your Compassion, my Father. I go over to You, Father of the soul, only with Christ's merits. I cost you what Man costs the Life of my God that Cross death dies excruciante for this worm. I believe, Father very well, that although only it was me who had been in this world, for my sins, also there had gone down the sky your Son, Jesus Christ, to endure this horrifying death contemplated by the pathetic look of his Mother and my Mother. A rescue never fully deserved. The Author of the Life, The most Beautiful of the men, my Gentleman, and this blessed Woman, who has exhausted the Bitterness, has put what I have lacked. Only I can only offer you the eternal gratitude that I owe, with supreme abandonment of all my being in your infinite Compassion, with the Hope to contemplate your face face to face, my Father to you.
