4.34 I walk on the sea and calm the storm. (M 14, 24-36; Mc 6, 47-56; Jn 6, 16-21)
My disciples, already in the sea, directed his boat to Cafarnaúm
when it began to blow of a big wind and the sea was curling. The boat was already in the middle of the sea, flogged by the waves, because the wind was opposite. Towards the fourth wakefulness of the night, when they had advanced like approximately twenty-five or thirty stadiums I saw them panting in rowing and came towards them walking on the sea, (68) and as they saw me that I was approaching the boat, they got alarmed, and they were saying:
“: It is a bogey! ”
They lost the serenity and began to shout of fear. More I spoke to them at once: “: Have good fortitude; it is Me who is; do not be afraid! ”
Answering Pedro, he said:
“: Gentleman, if it is You who are, order me to go to You on the waters! ”
I said to him: “Ven ”.
Pedro of the boat went down and it began to walk on the waters to come towards me. Already close, feeling the thick wind, it brought in fear and began to dive shouting:
“: Gentleman, save me! ” (70)
And to the point I extended the hand and grasping of him said to him: “Hombre of little faith: why did you vacillate? ”
We rise to the boat and the wind abated. And those who were in the boat weakened (71) in front of me saying:
“: Truly, you are the God's Son! ”
They remained disproportionately astonished, looking some at others and with the heart entupido
since they had not given themselves complete account of the happened with the breads. Shortly the boat was along with the ground that we were going, and scarcely gone out of her some of them recognized me and giving notice and covering that region began to move in stretchers all those who were badly there where I was. And where he wants that it was entering, in the villages or in the cities, or in the farmhouses, the patients were setting in the squares and were requesting me it allowed them to touch at least the stripe of my cloak; and all that touched me received health. (68) You and I, reading friend, are perplexed, so much like the alarmed heart of these men who have seen a Man who multiplies in his hands the bread and the fish for a multitude and now they see it, astonished, walking on the sea. Who is Jesus?
(69) Christ asks me for two things: “buen fortitude ”, “no be afraid ”. To walk without fear, whatever happens.
(70) The reflection of these made does that also they take me to me to say: Gentleman, save me!
(71) In spite of only using the reason I come to the same conclusion: “: Truly, you are the God's Son! ”
